A major service routine is important for your vehicle’s safety, performance and the re-sale value of your car. A minor service routine at AMW generally involves the replacement of engine oil and filter check all fluids, spark plugs, fuel system, emissions, and ignition.
A brake service can include the following; flushing the old brake fluid, adding new, replacing the pads, resurfacing /skimming the discs, and adjusting braking mechanisms.
In most cases, the clutch replacement will involve replacing the clutch disc, releasing the pilot bearing, and replacing or resurfacing the flywheel. It can also include replacing the clutch pressure plate and clutch bushing.
Like most components of a car, the cambelt will wear itself out eventually. However, it is such a key part of kit that its decline can cause a lot of further engine damage.
Much like clutch replacement, it’s better to get the job done quickly to prevent any further damage.
On average, your cambelt will need replacing every 4- 6 years, however this varies depending on your car make and model.
Suspension repair usually includes the following; springs, shock absorbers, and the anti-sway bars. Typically, both sides of the suspension system should be replaced at the same time to prevent any stress placed on the new parts when the older parts are still in place.
A transmission rebuild is a major mechanical overhaul done to a vehicle’s transmission. A transmission, like a vehicle engine, is made up of a series of interrelated mechanical parts that wear out over time and with extended use. Rebuilding a vehicle’s transmission replaces these worn parts without replacing the entire transmission.
An Engine overhaul is removing, stripping, checking up, cleaning and repairing your engine. This is step where the mechanic will identify the problem with the engine. Defective parts are replaced and once all is complete and verified, the engine is placed back into the vehicle.
There is no doubt that turbochargers enhance the performance of your car. However, you must watch out for some common problems with your turbocharger so that you can resolve them before making a choice to buy a new one or having it repaired.
Below are some of the problems you should watch out for in your turbocharger:
- Poor acceleration

- Increased oil consumption
- Excessive exhaust smoke

An aircon regas (or recharge) is done with a highly specialized machine that can evacuate, flush, recharge, and test the air conditioning system without releasing any of the old or new refrigerant charge into the atmosphere.

Car key programming is the reprogramming of a preset blank chip in a new car key, so that it will suit the current settings of your vehicle. Ordering a replacement key from your car company may be a viable option, however, that could take a while. If you need instant results, we offer expert programming for most car keys.
